****So the Verdict**** The Place: It is quite renovated from the last time I visited here pre-pandemic. Although it is kinda new for eyes, They’ve managed to restore that old Black forest vibe that makes it so genuinely “Cozy”. The Modern touch is actually a very nice Idea together with its old style from the old interior of it. The Food: As always, Engel delivers the Best! Starting from their starters which consist of Scallops grilled at the top with glazed sugar like crust, Followed by the Main from their Menu Aged Steak which is marinated with some liquor to it that taste really good, Soup they have the traditional Spetzle in Brühe with Klötschen which is also good (Not too salty and the Klötschen give it abit of bite to the soup) and lastly, The Sorbet sampler that is made out of 100% Fruit juice extract. Overall, It was fantstically good 👍 The People: They’re still the same old women who worked from the last time. Still friendly and very accommodating to customers, even for Foreigners 👍 The Price: More on the High end Price. Although it is so, the Food and service you’ll get is well deserved for its Prices. What a Christmas menu with 4 courses plus some additional gratitudes. Food and service are excellent. Prices are on the higher side but definitely worth it. You will find typical dishes of the region in a perfected presentation. The interior of the restaurant is decorated somewhere in between a traditional and a modern restaurant of this region. They managed the gap and pushed the traditional ways to today's world without losing the personal and local touch.
